Samsung knows how to appeal to the average Indian consumer, and as a result, all of its smartphones excel in three areas: display, camera, and battery life. Thanks to its early model’s good specifications and competitive pricing, the Samsung Galaxy M-series became quite popular in India.

This bang-for-the-buck combination helps consumers compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi and Realme smartphones. Samsung first announced the Galaxy M32 in June of this year, and now it has a 5G model. Let’s find out how the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G performs in my Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Review.

What Comes in the box of Samsung Galaxy M32 5G?

let’s see what comes inside the box of Samsung Galaxy M32 5G.

  • Handset
  • 15W Fast Charging Adapter
  • SIM Tray Ejector
  • USB Cable
  • User Manual

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Design and Build

Despite being a big handset, the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G has a decent design that manages to look rather premium thanks to its plastic back and frame.

The smooth, shiny back looks amazing and grabs users’ attention. Unlike Oppo and Vivo, which have unique gradient designs on their plastic backs that make them appear as if they were made of glass, the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G has a rather bland design.

A fingerprint scanner is located on the phone’s side, and it also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. When you place the device on a level surface, the camera module seems flush with the back panel, and it doesn’t jiggle.

On one hand, the phone is easy to grasp and operate, although the back surface collects a lot of fingerprints. The power button and fingerprint scanner are on the right side of the smartphone, with the SIM card tray on the left. A Type-C USB connector, speaker grill, and 3.5 mm headphone jack are all located on the bottom of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Display

When it comes to the display, the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G has a 6.5-inch HD TFT screen with a 60-Hz refresh rate. The front of the phone includes a waterdrop notch, which Samsung calls an “Infinity V display.” Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used to protect the display.

Because of its reduced resolution and refresh rate, the display falls short of expectations at this price point. Widevine L1 isn’t supported by this discipline, thus you won’t be able to watch full HD+ material on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

Companies like Xiaomi and Realme offer FHD screens with a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz at this price point, whereas the Samsung M32 falls short.

The Samsung Galaxy M32 5G falls short of the standard set by Samsung displays. Even the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion, which has the same price tag, has an AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Samsung M30s, which is two years old, has an AMOLED display with improved color reproduction.

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Performance

The octa-core MediaTek dimensional 720 processor powers the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G. It has 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage available. If you want to enhance the storage capacity in the future, Samsung also offers the option of using a micro SD card. Using a MicroSD card you can expand storage up to 1 TB.

The phone provides decent performance Because the processor used here is based on a 7nm chipset, and the phone stays cool to the touch even during extended gaming sessions. The chipset’s overall performance is average, and it falls short of the device’s pricing.

Gaming is feasible on this device, but you won’t get much enjoyment out of it owing to the lower quality display. So, if you’re searching for a phone with a high level of performance, you might have to see other options.

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Software

Samsung’s OneUI 3.1, based on Android 11, is installed on the Galaxy M32 5G. Samsung has pledged two years of software updates, which means Android 12 and Android 13 will be supported. When it comes to day-to-day operations, the OneUI 3.1 is smooth, but when it comes to gaming, the Samsung Galaxy M32 5Gs lags.

Samsung’s OneUI 3.1 skin is packed with features like secure folders, Knox security, a blue light filter, dark mode, and more.

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Camera

The Samsung Galaxy M32 5G has a quad-camera configuration on the back with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait mode images. The camera’s performance is adequate, not exceptional.

In natural daylight, I was able to shoot some good-quality shots as well as portrait mode photos with background blur. The primary cameras can record 4K footage at 30 frames per second for video recording.

It has a 13MP selfie camera that is fitted in the waterdrop notch of the display, The 13MP selfie camera can only record videos in 1080p HD.

In low light, the camera on the phone can’t capture clear and sharp images. The Samsung Galaxy M32 5G’s 48MP camera is exceedingly grainy and dim when compared to comparable smartphones in this price bracket from companies like Realme and Xiaomi.

Also, sometimes photos are too bright and lack dynamic range. The camera app’s dedicated night mode seems to be slow as well. Capturing an image takes a few seconds, yet the quality of the image scarcely increases.

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Audio, Connectivity, Biometrics

At this pricing, having a 3.5 mm headphone jack is a huge plus, especially when gaming or watching movies on the phone.

The phone’s speaker is sufficient. It’s loud enough, but the music isn’t crystal clear, and it rattles a little when the volume is turned up all the way. When you’re watching movies or playing games in landscape mode, the bottom-firing speaker grill may be simply covered with your hand.

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Battery

Let’s get into more information about the battery life.

A 5000mAh battery powers the Galaxy M32 5G, which supports 25W rapid charging, although it is packed with a 15W charging adapter in the box. The phone can be fully charged from 0 to 100% with a 15w charger in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The battery readily lasted 2 days during my testing time. Samsung’s TFT HD plus display, which consumes less power than full HD plus displays, accounts for the long battery life.

Furthermore, there is currently no 5G connectivity in any of India’s states, and once 5G is fully implemented and devices begin to use 5G antennas, battery life is predicted to suffer as 5G bands consume a lot of power.

Pros and Cons of Samsung Galaxy M32 5G

Pros

  • 5G Phone
  • Up to 24 Hours Battery Backup
  • Superb Build Quality
  • Interesting UI
  • Amazing Speaker Quality

Cons

  • Unacceptable Display Type
  • Insufficient Camera Quality

Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy M32 5G comes with some amazing features and worst features, its build quality, side-mounted fingerprint, software, security, design, and battery backup make it the best and worth buying in this price range. on the other hand, its display type, camera quality, and performance show it as the worst and most pathetic phone.

The Samsung Galaxy M32 is a 5G-ready, future-proof smartphone. However, the M32 5G’s existence is called into question by its subpar HD Plus TFT display, inadequate camera configuration, and high price tag. Unless you are a Samsung fanboy, there are many better options at this price point from Xiaomi and Realme.
