DETAIL REVIEW OF SAMSUNG S20FE5G
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE 5g in India on 31 March 2021. The phone looks premium and strong. This Galaxy S20 fan edition is not the most exciting phone of the year, but perhaps the most important phone of Samsung.
But it lacks the ability to attract attention. While delivering the most loved features of the S20 series it makes the most of it with its affordable price tag, of course, an affordable price tag means that some compromises are not to be made.
Here is a detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G which will give you more clarity.
Design
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is a lightweight smartphone of around 180 gm weight and 159.8 x 74.5 x 8.4 mm (6.29 x 2.93 x 0.33 in) in dimension.
The Phone came in mint condition, the plastics from the Front Screen & the Back Screen were off already but after further inspection, the Phone was not used at all typically brand new. It has a plastic back, which I feel is better cause it will be prone to fewer scratches versus a glass back from previous generations.
The device is being offered in different colors, but the Cloud Mint color of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is delicate and quite mesmerizing. It is worth noting that there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, which has satisfy a standard for premium phones.
Now one of the reasons everyone prefers the Galaxy S20 fan edition is the sherbet mix of colors. Samsung’s s20 selection is a bit more sedate of course after falling in love with all those vibrant colors, mostly girls like these kinds of color edition.
S20 FE is available in three incredible color options:
- Cloudy Navy
- Cloud Mint
- Cloudy lavender
Display
Moving on to display, It features a 6.5-inch Full HD plus flat screen, which is the standard display size that you get on most devices these days. It has an excellent Super AMOLED display with lively colors, a good brightness level, and viewing slopes.
Though, the screen is a bit reflective in harsh sunlight. But, I loved binge-watching on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. It has a big screen, slim bezels, and great color contrast. The Adaptive brightness feature works well, unlike some of the phones.
It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which offers a smoother experience while navigating the user interface or even just browsing on social media. But there is no dynamic 120Hz display option, which will automatically change the refresh rate to save some battery.
I really do adore the deep tones produced by the S20 FE you can fiddle about with the color reproduction in the display. The smartphone you’ve got fast refresh support on here as well as 120 hertz so everything looks super silky smooth the only probably is the lack of support for HDR streaming in services like Netflix. despite the fact, this is an HDR-certified device.
Camera
Rear Camera Setup: Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G has a triple rear camera setup, including a 12MP primary camera with F/1.8 aperture along with OIS support and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with F/2.2 aperture. There is also an 8MP telephoto camera with f/2.0 aperture, it gives 3X optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom.
With the Triple rear cameras, the photo quality is crystal clear for normal, zoom, and ultra-wide shots. The gadget does have a slightly sticking-out rear camera module, which means the phone does not lie flat on a table.
In sunlight, the device delivered great shots with normal colors, which we preferred the most. we received some detailed shots with good sufficient sharpness and vibrant extent.
The night mode also does a great job in low light producing bright and crisp snaps with impressively natural-looking tones.
the S20 FE 5g also sports a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens which lets in less light and so produces darker images it’s next to useless indoors but it does add some flexibility when you are outdoors
Front camera Setup: On the front is a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera takes some nice shots but sometimes skin tones are slightly off depending on the lighting.
A 32-megapixel selfie snapper which can offer quite a wide view if you want to squeeze a few peeps into the frame and you’ve once again got those portrait mode smarts on board too on the whole a solid effort
Video Recording: Video recording from both cameras are available at 4k with an option for live focus video makes the video experience even better. it can record video at 3840×2160 at 30 fps and 1920×1080 at 60 fps.
With their eye-tracking smarts and you know not much else and Samsung has properly nailed that portrait mode too it’s rare to see any kind of junk here even with the moving subject again and you can fiddle about with the bokeh style effect.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 fan edition is a great choice, photos look natural too with realistic colors as long as you’re not using the scene optimizer modes or trying to shoot in very bright conditions, mostly though the S20 FE 5g can handle troublesome contrast without much saturation while detail levels.
Performance
This smartphone has an octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor which is based on 7nm technology. It has 5G network support efficient in fast processing and strong internet connection with telecom as well as Wi-Fi.
To boost up the performance Adreno 660 GPU gives us a smooth, unbreakable gaming experience, heavy usage, and multitasking at the same time. Display and the camera performance also really well.
The perfectly flat screen with its 240-hertz touch response rate is reassuringly responsive and certainly more than spacious enough for enjoying any kind of game out there.
It can monitor the internal temperature and even tell you roughly how much battery life you’ve got remaining, another major benefit of that snapdragon 865 chipset over the Exynos version is that superior battery life which is still fantastic
- Antutu Benchmarks: 575856
- Geekbench 5 Score: 882(single-core), 3018(multi-core)
Software
The device was originally launched with Android 10 but after the update, it running on Android 11 OS. Samsung phones offer a feature-rich 3.1 one UI that makes your smartphone experience a lot better. The Samsung one UI gives ads-free and no bloatware in the device. the user interface looks clean and immersive.
RAM
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is available in single variants, it has an 8GB LPDDR4X RAM variant. it performs awesome while playing games like Call of Duty type and Pubg.
Samsung S20 FE 5G offering a Snapdragon octa-core processor, its 8GB LPDDR4X Ram feels you that you are running a very high-speed device, no hurdle get you while playing games, scrolling the Instagram page down, it goes only just one touch.
Storage
In this flagship, it’s micro-SD memory card support so you can expand up to 1 TB and has 128 GB internal storage of onboard storage.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor seamlessly enables you to the game, multitask and take quality photos. With 128GB of storage, there is plenty of space for games, apps, documents and photos, and videos. It has UFS 3.1 storage as instantly as you can currently get on an Android phone.
Battery
Samsung S20 FE 5G comes with a 4500 mAh battery, seems to be high power storage for the long run and that’s true. It’s a non-removable battery that fully charges in 60 to 65 minutes with a 15 W charger.
You don’t need to charge again and again while playing games. Battery life has been great, get about 4-5hrs of the screen on time mixed usage with 40-60% of battery life left at the end of the day. It can allow your phone to fully enjoy for more than one day on a single charge.
Again, another area where the fun edition is superior to that flagship, the Samsung S20 fan edition charges super-fast, it does support up to 25 watts of charging.
Charger
While the competition is offering either 50W or a 65W charger, Samsung only packs a 15W charger in the box. It is worth pointing out that the device has support for 25W charging.
You get a white color 15W charger with C-type cable and 15W wireless charger along with this. For any top-of-the-line smartphone, I expect to be able to get through a whole day without needing to charge.
Connectivity
Samsung relaunch this device with 5G connectivity in India, this time Samsung powered with a snapdragon 865 processor. it has dual 4G VoLTE support which is suitable for India now. other connectivity options have the latest Bluetooth, dual-band wifi, mobile hotspot, NFC, and GPS.
Sound
Now for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G has a dual stereo speaker tuned by AKG set up to give a much better quality of your favorite song, although sadly there’s once again a complete lack of headphone jack.
The screen and built-in speakers have both been really pleasing, though the speakers are no match for headphones or an external speaker. In a pinch, they produce reasonably high-quality sound at solid volume. but the bass won’t impress.
Build Quality
There’s no glass back in this, but the polycarbonate rear panel with matt finish and metallic frame looks and feels premium too. The good thing is it doesn’t catch fingerprints or stains and it isn’t unctuous, so you can use the phone without a case and flaunt it.
There is an IP68 rating for water and dust protection. The Fan Edition of the Galaxy S20 is very well built and the device feels solid in hand.
Sensors
To encrypt all of your sensitive data and keep your privates private you also have a dependable optical fingerprint sensor plus an equally reliable slice of the face and lock action which works well even in low light.
- Fingerprint Sensor
- Light sensor
- Proximity sensor
- Accelerometer
- Compass
- Gyroscope

Full Verdict about Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
In what we think of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 fan edition 5G model, it has very strong competition especially from the Vivo x60 Pro flagship phone, which upgrades the specification to the Snapdragon 870 processor.
You’ve got Super AMOLED Full HD plus display, robust construction, and amazing sound quality at this price point. The overall general experience here on the S20 fan version.
we love the phone, especially the camera. The 120hz display is very smooth and brings out nice vivid colors. Scrolling down in apps is very satisfying. With the 4,500MAh battery and screen at FHD+ at 120Hz, battery life is amazing with an average of 6 hours of screen on time.
I love Samsung’s camera tech on this thing. It’s not infallible, but it’s absolutely amazing for shooting such fast-moving subjects for fun. The 15W charging has been fantastic with the phone and is also capable of charging 25W, meaning that charging while on the go is not a problem.
This is an amazing best flagship smartphone. If you like premium phones, we strongly recommend buying it.
